Synopsis
After watching her first Pokémon Showcase, Serena catches a mischievous Pancham, her first capture, and decides to become a Pokémon Performer. Shauna invites the group to Lagoon Town, where the Kalos Queen, Aria, and her Braixen close their performance with a Fire Blast, but a Pancham bursts onto the stage and ruins Kayleigh and Furfrou’s act before escaping.
Shauna resolves to enter Showcases herself. The Pancham taunts Chespin and steals Ash’s hat and Clemont’s glasses, and Serena finds it practising poses near a cave full of stolen props; when it refuses to trade, she tells it she wants to become a Performer, hands back her friends’ things and prepares to battle it with Fennekin.
Team Rocket net Fennekin, but Fletchinder’s Razor Wind cuts their balloon, and Pancham, refusing to let anyone interfere with its battle, attacks them with Stone Edge and Dark Pulse; Serena shields the others from a Shadow Ball, and Pikachu and Dedenne help free Fennekin before Thunderbolt finishes Team Rocket. After a close rematch Serena catches Pancham with her second throw, gives it her red sunglasses and vows to outshine Aria.
