Synopsis
On Harvest Island, Ash meets Alexa, a journalist from the Kalos region, and wins a Pokémon Sumo Tournament with Pignite before she joins the group on the way to Kanto. The Pokédex cannot identify her Helioptile or Gogoat, and she explains that she travels the world photographing Pokémon in their natural habitats.
The Grand Harvest Festival honours a legend in which a child ended a fight between Ursaring and Beartic over the island’s last berry by splitting it in two. In the sumo tournament, Rodney, who stole Ash’s pie, sends his Golurk to push a disguised Team Rocket out of the ring; Iris’s Dragonite loses when its tail touches the ground, and Cilan’s Pansage is shoved out by a Hariyama.
In the final, Pignite dodges Golurk, grabs its arm and throws it to win a Focus Band and a pile of berries. Ash offers Rodney a berry, Rodney splits it with him, and the two make up. That evening Alexa reveals she is also bound for Kanto and sets off with the group.
