Synopsis
On Capacia Island, the group helps a girl named Gemma find Jirachi so she can wish for her mountain’s lost spring to return. One night Pikachu and Axew play with the Wish Pokémon before it flees, and Gemma’s mother, Lotus, explains that the land dried up and most families left, while Gemma’s father, Carlton, went away two years ago to find the spring’s source.
Jirachi wakes for only seven days every thousand years, so the group searches day after day while Lotus plants Revival Herbs in the barren soil. On the seventh day Gemma approaches calmly, and Jirachi agrees to come to the Shrine of the Mountain.
Team Rocket seize Jirachi and paralyse Pikachu and Axew, but Jirachi breaks free with Psychic, downs the balloon with Swift and uses Healing Wish before fainting, and Dragon Rage and Electro Ball blast Team Rocket off. Carlton returns, and at the shrine Gemma wishes for Jirachi’s recovery instead; water bursts from the mountain, the lake refills, and Jirachi sinks into it to sleep for another thousand years.
