Synopsis
A string of misunderstandings on Capacia Island leads Ash and Iris to quarrel and split up, until worry for each other and their Pokémon brings them back together. Ash’s attempt to catch a rare Dunsparce ends when its Screech knocks him into Iris, crushing the flowers in her hair, and Axew stumbles into Pikachu’s Electro Ball.
Ash’s peace offering turns out to be a bitter fruit, which Iris throws back at him; Cilan later learns that ripeness varies from branch to branch, but by then Iris has declared she no longer wants to travel with Ash and has taken another path. That night, as rain falls, both Trainers think of each other, and Ash’s Pokémon wait anxiously for Iris.
In the morning Scraggy and Pikachu set out to find Axew, and Snivy, Pignite and Oshawott push Ash after them while Cilan reminds him that he would never abandon his Pokémon over a disagreement. Team Rocket net Pikachu, Scraggy, Ash and Cilan, but Axew’s Dragon Rage cuts the Pokémon loose and Iris catches them. Ash and Iris apologise, and Pikachu’s flowers and Axew’s fruit seal the reconciliation.
