Synopsis
In Virbank City, Ash’s group helps Halsey’s Pokémon Harbor Patrol fight a fire at an industrial complex, and N comes to accept Pokémon taking part in rescues. A training drill introduces Halsey’s Dewott, two Frillish and Watchog, which wants to join the rescues instead of guarding the perimeter.
Watchog struggles through aptitude tests against Dewott, even setting its own tail on fire, and N objects that making Pokémon rescue people puts them in danger, but Halsey replies that rescue goes both ways. A real alarm then calls everyone to the complex, where a kindergarten class is visiting. While Halsey’s team fights a burning fuse box below ground, disguised Team Rocket grab Pikachu; Oshawott and Axew free him, but Woobat’s Hidden Power ignites a generator and Halsey’s team is sealed in.
Excadrill’s Dig hits solid rock until N relays where Watchog senses diggable ground. The new tunnel reaches Halsey, his team and Watchog’s Sand-Attack put out the blaze, and Halsey and N shake hands, each admitting that his view has changed.
