Saving Braviary! is the 17th episode of Pokémon: BW Adventures in Unova and Beyond, the sixteenth season of the Pokémon anime, and the 767th episode of the English dub overall (Japanese episode 772, Bulbapedia code BW114). It first aired in Japan on 21 February 2013 and in the United States on 25 May 2013. It falls within the season’s N on the road stretch (EP114–EP119).
Synopsis
N rescues an injured Braviary from two Team Plasma Grunts, Schwarz and Weiss, and after Ash’s group helps him protect it, he agrees to travel with them. N frees the caged Braviary from the grunts’ truck at night, and the pair tumble down a cliff and collapse in front of Ash, Iris and Cilan, who carry them to a Pokémon Center.
N explains that Team Plasma captured Braviary and that he means to free every Pokémon they hold, alone. When the grunts cut the Center’s power and track Braviary by a device on its neck, N draws them off with the tracker while the others take Braviary to a safe release point, but Braviary breaks free to help him.
Excadrill knocks out Seviper with Focus Blast and Pikachu trades Iron Tails with Zangoose until Braviary tears off its bandages and stops a Mega Punch with Wing Attack, letting Pikachu finish with Thunderbolt. Braviary returns to the wild, and the injured N, who still dislikes battles but felt something new watching them, accepts an invitation to travel with the group as far as Driftveil City and beyond.
