Synopsis

With Ash’s seventh badge in hand our heroes are rushing to catch the last ferry from Cinnibar Island. As they run along the beach a Wartortle runs out in front of them and Ash goes straight into it, both of them falling over.
The Wartortle appears panic’d about something, Pikachu calls out Squirtle to interpret, after a brief chat between Squirtle and Wartortle, Squirtle puts on his shades and dives into the water. Ash and gang grab a boat and follow them, finding a small Island that a) Looks like a Squirtle shell and b) isn’t even on the map. Little do they know they’re all being followed by Team Rocket. The Wartortle and Squirtle arrive on the island closely followed by Ash and gang to find a huge amount of sleeping Squirtle and Wartortle as well as one giant sleeping Blastoise. Ash rushses over excited to see a Blastoise and hugs its shell, falling asleep himself, Squirtle listens to the shell and also falls asleep. Misty and Brock try to wake Ash up but to no avail, an electric shock from Pikachu wakes up Ash and all the Wartortle and Squirtle on the beach. Ash says he heard a weird, but kind of familiar music from Blastoise’s shell.
Misty wants to leave but Ash says they aren’t going anywhere until the Blastoise is awoken. The Wartortle communicate that Blastoise went for a swim in the ocean a few days before, and they found it floating and asleep, bringing it ashore, but all falling asleep shortly after themselves, thats when the Wartortle Ash bumped into fled the island and went to get help. Shortly after this being communicated Blastoise comes around but something is wrong with it, it’s got a Jigglypuff stuck in one of it’s cannons and this is whats been putting everyone to sleep, Jigglypuff sings again, putting everyone to sleep once more.
Team Rocket seize this oppurtunity to attack, Jessie and James staying on the sub at a safe distance and Meowth (on the end of a rope) heading ashore to tie a rope to Blastoise, Jigglypuff however is still singing and Meowth too falls asleep, Jessie and James reel him back in and try to wake him but can’t, they decide to take matters into their own hands by using their Gyarados sub’s grabber mechanism to grab Blastoise and escape. Ash wakes up to find Blastoise gone and wakes everyone else up in a panic, Squirtle water guns all the other Squirtle and Wartortle to get their attention, he gives them the plan to go and search for Blastoise and everyone agrees to follow it. Squirtle leads all the other Squirtle and Wartortle out to sea to search for Blastoise. Team Rocket meanwhile are in their sub celebrating victory and arguing about who gets credit for capturing Blastoise, while fighting over it they damage their sub and it starts taking on water, and just then they hear a rather relaxing and familiar tune, Jigglypuff begins to sing and puts them to sleep (he’s still in Blastoises cannon), the sub starts to sink but is rescued by all the Squirtle and Wartortle who arrive just in time.
Team Rocket wake up back on shore being resucitated by Ash, Misty and Brock and are as ungrateful as always, still continuing to try and steal Pokemon with their subs mechanical grabbers. The Wartortle and Squirtle combine to try and repel the now amphibious sub with their water guns but it doesn’t work and they have to turn and run, the sub is chasing them all around and Blastoise is still sleeping… until Pikachu and Squirtle attack it together to wake it up (nasty alarm right). Jigglypuff is knocked out and falls into Team Rockets sub, Blastoise awakens and is unsurprisingly angry about the situation. Blastoise overpowers and damages Team Rockets sub, before combining the power of his own waterguns with those of the Squirtle and Wartortle to send Team Rocket blasting off again. TR are consoled slightly after when Jigglypuff gives them a midair song before the sub plummets back before the depths, Squirtle rushes to save Jigglypuff and returns with it safely to shore. Jigglypuff gives one final encore and puts everyone back to sleep once more, before furiously decorating everyones faces for falling asleep during its performance.
The friends bid farewell to Blastoise, the Squirtle and Wartortle and leave the Island of Turtle Pokemon in peace.
