Legendary Collection & e-Card Series
The transitional 2002–2003 era of e-Reader dot-code cards — the last under Wizards of the Coast.
The Legendary Collection & e-Card Series (2002–2003) was a short, transitional era. Its e-Card expansions — Expedition, Aquapolis and Skyridge — carried strips of dot-code data along their edges that could be scanned with the Game Boy Advance e-Reader to unlock mini-games and extra info.
The era opened with Legendary Collection, a premium reprint set of classic cards, and marked the final stretch of the Pokémon TCG under Wizards of the Coast before Nintendo took the licence for the EX Series. Skyridge and Aquapolis remain some of the most valuable sets ever printed.
