Team Plasma’s Pokémon Power Plot! is the 15th episode of Pokémon: BW Adventures in Unova and Beyond, the sixteenth season of the Pokémon anime, and the 765th episode of the English dub overall (Japanese episode 770, Bulbapedia code BW112). It first aired in Japan on 7 February 2013 and in the United States on 11 May 2013. It falls within the season’s Return to Nuvema & the coming of N stretch (EP109–EP113).
Synopsis
In Floccesy Town, Ash reunites with Looker of the International Police and has his first clash with Team Plasma and its scientist Colress, who is using EM waves to control Pokémon. Colress tests his machine on a Galvantula and a Beartic while his ally Aldith talks of conquering Unova, and red-eyed wild Amoonguss attack Ash’s group outside town.
On a mountain path, Pikachu, Axew and a crowd of wild Pokémon suddenly turn on the group until a bearded Hiker’s device restores them, and the Hiker reveals himself as Looker, Ash’s acquaintance from Sinnoh. At an abandoned observatory, Team Plasma’s leader Ghetsis appears as a hologram, and Colress sends out his controlled Galvantula, Beartic, Scolipede and Mienshao.
Colress fits a receiver to Pikachu, who attacks his friends until Ash’s pleas help him overload it. A Team Rocket bug short-circuits the console and frees the Pokémon, but Team Plasma trigger a self-destruct, escape by helicopter and shoot down Team Rocket’s balloon. Looker resumes his hunt as the group continues towards the White Ruins.
