Another One Gabites the Dust! is the 10th episode of Pokémon DP: Galactic Battles, the twelfth season of the Pokémon anime, and the 577th episode of the English dub overall (Japanese episode 581, Bulbapedia code DP114). It first aired in Japan on 12 February 2009 and in the United States on 11 July 2009. It falls within the season’s Chocovine & Dawn’s fourth Ribbon stretch (EP112–EP117).
Synopsis
Dawn wins her fourth Ribbon at the Chocovine Town Contest, defeating her new rival Ursula’s Gabite with Pachirisu’s newly learned Super Fang. Before the Contest, Ursula’s Gabite tramples a Poffin that Pachirisu wanted, and Ursula, who lost in the first round of the Wallace Cup, mocks Dawn’s victory there and vows to beat her.
In the Performance Stage, Buneary slides along an Ice Beam track, Jessie, disguised as Jessilina, shows off Yanmega’s Speed Boost, and Ursula’s Wormadam builds and destroys a sand sculpture with Sandstorm and Captivate. All three advance. Pachirisu beats a Weavile, while Ursula’s Gabite defeats a Hariyama and then Jessilina’s Carnivine.
The final pits Pachirisu against Gabite’s Dragon Claw, Aerial Ace, Stone Edge and Dragon Rage. Pachirisu dodges and counters with Discharge, Spark and its tail, then clamps onto Gabite with a spinning Super Fang. When time runs out, Dawn is ahead on points and wins the Chocovine Ribbon. Ursula leaves without a word of praise, and the group head for Snowpoint City.
