Synopsis
In Chocovine Town, a Phione falls for Dawn’s Buneary and challenges Pikachu for her affection, only for Buneary to battle it herself. Dawn hears that Coordinators who see a Phione tend to win their Contests, and on a submarine tour run by a disguised Team Rocket the group see three Phione, one of which becomes smitten with Buneary.
Team Rocket net the lovesick Phione, but it slips through a fountain’s plumbing with Acid Armor and searches the town for Buneary, freezing Team Rocket with Ice Beam on the way. Finding her on the beach, it freezes a protective Piplup and challenges Pikachu, until Buneary accepts the challenge on condition that she will date Phione if it wins.
Buneary counters Phione’s Double Team, Supersonic and Acid Armor with Dizzy Punch and Bounce, and their Ice Beams cancel out before Buneary’s Bounce kick knocks it out. When Team Rocket attack again, Buneary and Phione freeze them together and Pikachu blasts them off. Buneary promises a rematch, and Phione rejoins its friends.
