Synopsis

The Tera Training tournament ends with Liko facing Roy, and Roy wins after Fuecoco evolves into Crocalor mid-battle, before the trio leave Naranja Academy as fully fledged Terastallization users. Dot opens the day by Terastallizing Quaxwell and knocking out Rob’s Darumaka with a boosted Liquidation. Penny has told everyone about Liko and Roy’s stand against the Explorers, so the final match between them draws an excited crowd; Nemona and Ryme encourage Roy, and Ann and Katy encourage Liko. Flamethrower and Magical Leaf cancel out, and Floragato’s Quick Attack pushes Fuecoco back, but each Flame Charge raises Fuecoco’s Speed until he is circling Floragato and landing hits; Floragato finally flings him into the air and slams him down. Roy switches to Kilowattrel, which drags Floragato skyward when she grabs its leg; she softens her landing with Magical Leaf to the crowd’s applause. Kilowattrel’s erratic flight charges its wings through Wind Power, and its Spark overpowers Magical Leaf and Scratch, leaving Floragato paralysed.

Liko switches to Hattrem, whose Confusion stops a Spark until Kilowattrel’s Uproar breaks her focus and a diving Spark pushes through. Too tired to dodge another, Hattrem glances at Liko and makes Floragato’s Poké Ball glow before she falls, and when Floragato returns, her paralysis is gone thanks to Hattrem’s Healer Ability. As Kilowattrel dives again, Liko calls off a vine grab too late, but Floragato’s flailing vine distracts it and opens the way for a Scratch that knocks it out, giving Liko the idea for a new tactic. In the final round, Floragato startles Fuecoco with her vine and lands a newly learned Sucker Punch. Roy asks whether Liko remembers their first battle, and they recall their training, their fights with the Explorers and the goals ahead. Roy and Fuecoco then sing their song, joined by Ryme and the students, and in the middle of it Fuecoco glows and evolves into Crocalor.

Both Trainers throw their Tera Orbs, and Crocalor’s boosted Flamethrower overpowers Magical Leaf; Floragato dodges and charges with Quick Attack into a boosted Flame Charge, and when the smoke from the explosion clears, she has fainted. Dendra declares Roy the winner, he shakes Liko’s hand, and Clavell closes the tournament. At dusk, Ann tells Liko she is returning to Indigo Academy and the two promise to battle again; Nemona, Ryme, Hassel and Brassius congratulate Roy, Larry gives Dot a nod, Iono calls but is mostly ignored while Dot talks to Poppy, and Liko speaks with Geeta and Rika as Grusha and Katy urge her onward. Penny thanks Dot, calling her “Nidothing,” and the trio leave the academy able to Terastallize freely, ready for a new adventure. Elsewhere, Sidian eats a rice ball and Coral a sandwich, and at Explorers headquarters Spinel studies the stolen Terapagos data, pleased to hear from Chalce that she has told Hamber nothing about it.
