Pokemon Green (Game Boy) Box Art & Covers

by

The complete box art and cartridge scans for Pokémon Green — known in Japan as Pocket Monsters Midori (ポケットモンスター緑) — on the Game Boy, in the highest resolution we can gather.

Released on 27 February 1996 alongside Pocket Monsters Red, Green was the true original counterpart to Red and was never released outside Japan. Internationally its slot was taken by Blue, and the refined engine behind the Japanese Blue special edition became the basis for the worldwide Red & Blue in 1998. Its cover star is Venusaur (Fushigibana).
