Twilight Masquerade booster pack

Scarlet & Violet—Twilight Masquerade is the sixth main expansion of the Scarlet & Violet era, released on 24 May 2024. Set in the tranquil, festival-loving land of Kitakami, it puts the masked Legendary Pokémon Ogerpon centre stage — appearing as four different Tera Pokémon ex, one for each of its masks — and debuts the fan-favourite Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex.

Built from Japan’s Mask of Change and Crimson Haze sets, the 167-card main set is joined by 59 secret rares. It ties directly into The Teal Mask DLC for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, adds new Tera Pokémon ex like Greninja, Dragapult and Magcargo, and expands the returning ACE SPEC line with cards such as Unfair Stamp, Secret Box and Scoop Up Cyclone.

A Festival of Mischief & Mystery! Welcome to the land of Kitakami, where people and Pokémon live harmoniously with nature. Uncover the mystery of the masked Legendary Pokémon Ogerpon, appearing as four fearsome types of Tera Pokémon ex, and team up with more newly discovered Pokémon, like Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex and Sinistcha ex. Growing in power, Greninja, Dragapult, and Magcargo dazzle as Tera Pokémon ex, and more ACE SPEC cards round out the festivities in the Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Twilight Masquerade expansion!

Set Highlights: Ogerpon Takes the Stage

Twilight Masquerade builds its identity around Ogerpon and the Kitakami setting. The Legendary Pokémon appears as four Tera Pokémon ex — one for each of its Teal, Hearthflame, Wellspring and Cornerstone masks, each a different type — joined by the debut of Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex and the eerie Sinistcha ex.

English version vs. Japanese Variations

Like other main Scarlet & Violet expansions, Twilight Masquerade is built from more than one Japanese set. Its core is Mask of Change (変幻の仿面, sv6), released on 26 April 2024, combined with cards from the earlier Crimson Haze (sv5a) subset from 22 March 2024. The Pokémon Company International merged and expanded these into a single 167-card English main set (226 with secret rares). The Japanese packs and branding carry the Mask of Change and Crimson Haze names rather than the English “Twilight Masquerade” logo.

For Collectors: Most Valuable Cards

Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex — 216/167 (Special Illustration Rare)

Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex — 216/167 (Special Illustration Rare)

The undisputed crown jewel of Twilight Masquerade. Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex makes its TCG debut with a breathtaking full-moon illustration, and its Special Illustration Rare has been one of the most sought-after — and most expensive — cards of the entire Scarlet & Violet era.

Teal Mask Ogerpon ex — 211/167 (Special Illustration Rare)

Teal Mask Ogerpon ex — 211/167 (Special Illustration Rare)

The face of the set. Ogerpon’s Teal Mask form gets a gorgeous Special Illustration Rare set in the Kitakami countryside — the most iconic of the four Ogerpon mask chase cards.

Kieran — 218/167 (Special Illustration Rare)

Kieran — 218/167 (Special Illustration Rare)

Trainer cards are perennial collector favourites, and Kieran’s Special Illustration Rare captures the Teal Mask DLC’s key character in a beautifully composed full-art scene.

Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex — 222/167 (Hyper Rare)

Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex — 222/167 (Hyper Rare)

For the ultimate pull, Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex also appears as a gold, etched Hyper Rare — the very top of the set’s rarity ladder and a grail for completionists.

Most Powerful Cards (Competitive Play)

Dragapult ex — 130/167 (Double Rare)

Dragapult ex — 130/167 (Double Rare)

The card that would define the format for years. Dragapult ex spreads damage with Phantom Dive while threatening big single-hit knockouts, anchoring one of the most successful archetypes of the Scarlet & Violet era.

Greninja ex — 106/167 (Double Rare)

Greninja ex — 106/167 (Double Rare)

A flexible, splashable attacker whose Mist Shuriken Ability places damage straight from the Bench. Greninja ex became a toolbox staple across countless decks.

Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex — 141/167 (Double Rare)

Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex — 141/167 (Double Rare)

Beyond its collector appeal, Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex is a genuine powerhouse — Blood Moon hits for huge, scaling damage, giving lower-to-the-ground single-Prize decks a heavy hitter.

Munkidori — 95/167 (Rare)

Munkidori — 95/167 (Rare)

Deceptively important. Munkidori’s Adrena-Brain Ability shuttles damage counters around the board when Psychic Energy is attached, quietly becoming one of the format’s most-used consistency and sniping tools.

Trivia

  • Twilight Masquerade centres on Ogerpon, the Legendary Pokémon from The Teal Mask DLC — appearing as four Tera Pokémon ex, one for each of its Teal, Wellspring, Hearthflame and Cornerstone masks, each a different Tera type.
  • Bloodmoon Ursaluna ex made its TCG debut here and quickly became one of the era’s most iconic chase cards, prized for its dramatic full-moon artwork.
  • The set continued the revived ACE SPEC mechanic, adding six more one-per-deck cards — including Unfair Stamp, Secret Box, Scoop Up Cyclone and Survival Brace.
  • Buddy-Buddy Poffin, a defining consistency Item of the format, appears here as a gold hyper rare (223/167).
  • It combines two Japanese sets — Mask of Change (26 April 2024) and the earlier Crimson Haze subset (22 March 2024) — merged and expanded for the English release.
  • The 167-card main set expands to 226 with secret rares, including 21 illustration rares, special illustration rares of all four Ogerpon masks, and six gold hyper rares.
