Stellar Crown booster pack

Scarlet & Violet—Stellar Crown is the seventh main expansion of the Scarlet & Violet era, released on 13 September 2024. Built around the mysterious Legendary Pokémon Terapagos, it debuts the Stellar Tera Pokémon ex — a brand-new take on the Terastal phenomenon whose crystalline, gemstone-named attacks each cost three different types of Energy to use.

Drawing on The Indigo Disk DLC for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, the 142-card main set (175 with secret rares) gives Archaludon, Hydrapple and Terapagos their Pokémon TCG debut, and pairs its Stellar Tera Pokémon ex — Cinderace ex, Lapras ex, Galvantula ex, Dachsbun ex, Medicham ex and Orthworm ex — with new Trainer cards built to power their multi-Energy attacks.

Beyond its headline mechanic, Stellar Crown is remembered for its lavish crystalline artwork — the Stellar Tera Pokémon ex and their Special Illustration Rares render each Pokémon as a living gemstone. Terapagos ex, Briar and Lacey became some of the era’s most chased pulls, while on the competitive side the Terapagos ex engine — powered by the Area Zero Underdepths Stadium, Noctowl and the ACE SPEC Sparkling Crystal — went on to define the Standard format for much of the following year.

Stellar Tera Pokémon ex make their grand entrance in the Pokémon TCG! Each has a special Stellar attack with a name inspired by a gemstone that costs three different types of Energy to use, and the expansion features unique illustrations highlighting the brilliant crystalline qualities of these Pokémon. The Legendary Pokémon Terapagos, along with Archaludon and Hydrapple, also make their official Pokémon TCG debut.

English version vs. Japanese Variations

Like other main Scarlet & Violet expansions, Stellar Crown is based on a Japanese set. Its cards come from Stellar Miracle (ステラミラクル, sv7), a 135-card expansion released on 19 July 2024. The Pokémon Company International expanded it into the 142-card English Stellar Crown (175 with secret rares). The Japanese release carries the Stellar Miracle name, logo and packaging rather than the English branding.

For Collectors: Most Valuable Cards

Terapagos ex

Terapagos ex — 170/142 (Special Illustration Rare)

The set’s crown jewel. Terapagos’s full-art Special Illustration Rare shows the Legendary Pokémon wreathed in crystalline Terastal energy, and it stands as the definitive chase card of Stellar Crown.

Briar

Briar — 171/142 (Special Illustration Rare)

The fan-favourite researcher Briar earns a stunning Special Illustration Rare that became one of the most sought-after — and most valuable — Trainer cards in the set.

Lacey

Lacey — 172/142 (Special Illustration Rare)

Elite Four member Lacey’s Special Illustration Rare is a beloved character chase card and a consistently high-value pull.

Hydrapple ex

Hydrapple ex — 167/142 (Special Illustration Rare)

Hydrapple ex makes its TCG debut with a lush Special Illustration Rare whose apple-dragon artwork quickly became a collector favourite.

Most Powerful Cards (Competitive Play)

Terapagos ex

Terapagos ex — 128/142 (Double Rare)

The engine of the format-defining Terapagos ex deck. Its Unified Beatdown attack scales with your Benched Pokémon’s types, and paired with Area Zero Underdepths it anchored a top-tier Standard archetype for over a year.

Area Zero Underdepths

Area Zero Underdepths — 131/142 (Stadium)

The Stadium that lets Tera Pokémon ex sit on an expanded Bench of up to eight. It is the backbone of Terapagos ex decks and one of the defining competitive cards of the era.

Noctowl

Noctowl — 115/142 (Rare)

Noctowl’s Jewel Seeker Ability grabs two cards from your deck whenever it evolves with a Tera Pokémon in play, turning it into a consistency engine for nearly every Tera deck.

Sparkling Crystal

Sparkling Crystal — 142/142 (ACE SPEC)

This ACE SPEC Tool slashes the Energy cost of a Tera Pokémon ex’s attacks, accelerating Terapagos ex and the Stellar Tera Pokémon ex into their gemstone attacks a full turn early.

Trivia

  • Stellar Crown introduced the Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, the first Pokémon TCG cards to use the Stellar Tera type — each with a gemstone-named Stellar attack costing three different types of Energy.
  • Terapagos, Archaludon and Hydrapple all made their Pokémon TCG debut in this expansion.
  • The set ties into The Indigo Disk, the second part of Scarlet & Violet’s The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC.
  • At 142 cards, the main set is one of the smaller Scarlet & Violet expansions; secret rares bring the total to 175.
  • It carries three ACE SPEC Trainer cards — Deluxe Bomb, Grand Tree and Sparkling Crystal.
  • The Japanese counterpart, Stellar Miracle, released nearly two months earlier on 19 July 2024 with 135 cards.
