Synopsis
When a gang of cheating wrestlers called the Revengers, secretly backed by Viren, gangs up on the Masked Royal, Ash and Torracat join him as “Ash Royal,” and Torracat learns Revenge to win the tag match. On television, Ash and Professor Burnet watch the Masked Royal’s Incineroar battle Mr. Electric’s Electivire, with Team Rocket hosting, while Sophocles, Kiawe and Mimo, and Lillie and Hobbes watch from home. Mr. Electric grabs Incineroar’s leg and Mad Magmar’s Magmortar hits it with a fireball, so Mr. Electric is disqualified, but Ash knows the Masked Royal would never accept a win like that. Mad Magmar challenges him to a single battle the next day. Later, Ash and Burnet greet Professor Kukui with the Masked Royal’s pose, and Kukui nervously says that he has no plans for the following day.
At the Dome the next day, Kukui slips away to change and reaches the ring just in time. When the bell rings, the lights go out, and when they return, three more Revengers and their Poliwrath, Alolan Muk and Alolan Golem surround Incineroar alongside Magmortar. Ash’s Torracat leaps in to help, Mr. Electric and Electivire rejoin, and the battle becomes a tag match. Then a gold car drives into the Dome: Viren reveals that he leads the Revengers from behind the scenes and plans to win the title, buy the Dome and make it part of Rainbow Happy Resorts. As Ash and Torracat agree to help, the Masked Royal hands Ash a matching mask and names him Ash Royal, forming the Double Royals.
Incineroar trades Flamethrower, Cross Chop and Throat Chop blows with Magmortar, and Torracat tags in, only to be thrown with Fling and grabbed by Poliwrath while Mad Magmar boasts that he does not care how he wins. When Muk and Poliwrath pin Incineroar’s legs, Kiawe and Lana have Marowak and Popplio intervene, but the Masked Royal asks for a clean fight. Darkest Lariat knocks out Electivire; Magmortar pummels Torracat with Fire Punch and Karate Chop until Torracat leaps up and strikes back with Revenge, knocking out Magmortar and then Electivire. When all the Revengers attack at once, Malicious Moonsault defeats them, and Flame Charge and Darkest Lariat send Viren’s Pangoro crashing into Viren. The Double Royals win, and Ash and the Masked Royal agree to a rematch. Afterwards Kukui returns home breathless, claiming that he got lost, and Burnet suspects nothing.
