Synopsis
In Geosenge Town Korrina must defeat a fearsome Blaziken in a remote cave to claim her Lucarionite, and Lucario Mega Evolves for the first time. The town’s shops sell Evolution stones but no Lucarionite; Clemont recalls evolving his Helioptile into Heliolisk with a Sun Stone, and Korrina remembers her grandfather telling her she would know what she needed when the time was right.
A photographer, McGinty, takes souvenir photos and tells them of a remote cave holding a special stone, where something frightening happens to the unworthy. Team Rocket disguise its entrance, but Lucario senses the Lucarionite and blasts the hidden way open; strange noises scare Team Rocket off, and in a great chamber a Blaziken blocks the only path to the stone.
Blaziken dodges Power-Up Punch, counters with Blaze Kick, and hits Lucario with a Flamethrower that burns Korrina’s souvenir photo before hurling it into the water; Ash stops Serena from intervening, saying the fight is Korrina’s. Lucario pins Blaziken with Bone Rush, and as it prepares a final punch, Korrina’s grandfather Gurkinn appears, declares her the winner and reveals that Blaziken is his. Korrina takes the Lucarionite and Mega Evolves Lucario.
