Synopsis
A Flabébé that has lost its flower clings to Bonnie’s hair, and the group search the high plains for a rare Fairy Flower to save both it and its ailing owner. Clemont’s attempt to catch it for Bonnie fails because it already has a Trainer, and in Calanthe Town an elderly man, Grey, explains that it lives with him and his wife, Florence.
Florence collapsed while gardening and was hospitalised; Flabébé went to find Grey, but a gust tore away its flower and a passing car crushed it, and without a Fairy Flower both Flabébé and Florence are weakening. Nurse Joy says the flowers grow on the nearby high plains but are out of season, and Team Rocket, disguised as tour guides, offer to take the group there.
Flabébé spots a flower on a cliff and Bonnie climbs up to it, while Team Rocket seize Pikachu with a claw and Wobbuffet’s Mirror Coat turns Froakie’s and Chespin’s attacks back on them. Flabébé, revived by its new flower, scatters calming pollen that makes Team Rocket release Pikachu and wander off. At the hospital Florence brightens when Flabébé returns, and Clemont comforts Bonnie after their goodbye.
