Synopsis
Two mischievous Pancham lead the group and Team Rocket into a bamboo forest guarded by a powerful Pangoro, and Jessie catches a Pumpkaboo along the way. The Pancham eat everyone’s lunch, and Team Rocket net Pikachu, Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie and fly off, until Inkay’s Psybeam bounces off Wobbuffet’s Mirror Coat and destroys the balloon, scattering everyone.
Froakie and Pikachu pull Chespin out of the ground, Chespin’s Pin Missile frees Meowth from a tree, and Meowth proposes a truce, planning to use them as shields. Jessie and James anger the Pangoro and are punched away, and Jessie trips over a Pumpkaboo and catches it on her first try. When Chespin accidentally hits Pangoro with a stick, the Pancham say it needs a special bamboo leaf growing on a rocky outcrop.
While the group fetch the leaf with Chespin’s Vine Whip, Team Rocket tie up Pangoro and the Pancham, and Pumpkaboo’s Leech Seed binds the heroes. Pikachu, Froakie, Bunnelby, Fennekin and Chespin fight back, Ash places the leaf in Pangoro’s mouth, and Pangoro breaks free and blasts Team Rocket off. Everyone makes up, and the group leave at sunset, realising they never finished lunch.
