Steeling Peace of Mind! is the 6th episode of Pokémon DP: Galactic Battles, the twelfth season of the Pokémon anime, and the 573rd episode of the English dub overall (Japanese episode 577, Bulbapedia code DP110). It first aired in Japan on 15 January 2009 and in the United States on 13 June 2009. It falls within the season’s Iron Island & the Spear Key stretch (EP110–EP111).
Synopsis
Ash and his friends travel to Iron Island to investigate why Steel-type Pokémon have turned violent, and meet Riley and his Lucario, who can sense the cause through Aura. Barry calls to say his Empoleon attacked him while training there, so Ash decides to go before Dawn’s Contest and his next Gym battle in Snowpoint City.
Riley rescues the group from an Aggron with Lucario’s Close Combat and agrees to guide them. Meanwhile, Barry and his Heracross spot strange machinery, run into Team Rocket, and discover a Team Galactic base led by Commander Mars at an ancient metal ruin with statues of Dialga and Palkia. Golbat and Mars’s Purugly overwhelm their Pokémon, and Barry and Team Rocket fall into a cave.
Ash’s group reach the base, and Riley learns that Team Galactic are hunting the Sinnoh space-time legend. Mars inserts the Spear Key into the ruins, which fire a beam towards the summit of Mount Coronet. The energy strikes Lucario, which loses control and turns on Ash and Riley.
