Synopsis
Brock falls ill, and Ash and Misty discover just how much their friend does for them when they try to cover his chores. A feverish Brock collapses over the oatmeal, is put to bed and hands over his blue notebook. Ash tries to speed up polishing Onix with Totodile’s Water Gun, which goes exactly as badly as Misty predicts, while Brock, dreaming of three beautiful girls among dancing Bellossom, is gently Supersonic-ed back to bed by Golbat whenever he tries to get up.
Foraging for lunch, Ash finds Team Rocket vacuuming apples off the trees. Totodile’s Water Gun counters Arbok’s Poison Sting, Cyndaquil’s Flamethrower frees Pikachu from the machine and a Thunderbolt sends the trio off, leaving the apples for Ash. Misty’s turn at cooking involves salt, a burst sugar bag and eventually ketchup, mustard, soy sauce and cinnamon; only Jessie, finding the leftovers that night, declares it delicious.
Team Rocket lure Ash’s Pokémon with a cardboard Ash, then snatch Misty’s and Brock’s with the claws of a jet-powered balloon, grabbing Pikachu too. Golbat’s Wing Attack downs the balloon and a recovered Brock arrives to run a Double Battle with Pineco and Golbat against Arbok and Weezing, Onix adding Rock Throw before Pikachu’s Thunder. Next morning Brock is back at the oatmeal, but Ash insists on one more rest day.
