What direction is the Pokémon series likely to take as it commemorates the 25th anniversary marked on the 27th of February 2021? Will there be new games or even remakes?

While answers to this question remain uncertain and vague to the Pokémon fans, we still anticipate some good news from Nintendo. It was on 27th February 1996, when the first games were released in this franchise in Japan, hence, marking the 25th year of existence this year.If you can recall, during the Pokémon 20th anniversary a lot happened. The Pokken and Pokémon Go were released, and there were also many crossover events in games that took place to mark that season such as Splatoon and Super Mario Maker.

However, it is still not that clear what Nintendo has in store for the Pokémon fans as they celebrate 25 years of enjoying this trading card game of its type. But, at least we have a few things that were announced to happen this year, which we will mention in this article. These promises from Pokémon Company will be clearer as the year elapses. But we are hopeful that there will be more interesting releases soonest from Nintendo. Now, Pokémon is among the top 3 trading card games that have gained a lot of International popularity over time. This makes it one of the best TCG in the market today. Did you know that as of March 2020 over 30.4 billion Pokemon cards have been sold? Yes, they did, and this isn’t a negligible achievement, Right?
While this may sound unrealistic, the truth is that this trading card game has continued to gain popularity over and again every year. Each Pokémon generation has had a tremendous impact on the fictional Pokémon world. Let’s answer this question first…

How Many Pokémon Generations Are There? As of now, there are eight Pokémon generations. And, this franchise is revolving around 898 species of collectible monsters that are fictional. Although, there are still more that are cropping up with time. You will note that a new region to be explored is always introduced in line with a birth of a new generation of Pokémon. Also, we have realized that between 70 and 160 monsters get added in each generation as a result of the introduction of a new region of exploration. Here are the 8 generations with their respective regions:
  • 1st Generation (1996-1999) Red, green, blue, and yellow – Kanto region
  • 2nd Generation (1999-2002) Gold, Silver, and Crystal – Johto region
  • 3rd Generation (2002-2006) Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen, and Emerald – Hoenn region
  • 4th Generation (2006-2010) Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver – Sinnoh region
  • 5th Generation (2010-2013) Black, Black 2, White, and White 2 – Unova region
  • 6th Generation (2013-2016) X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire – Kalos region
  • 7th Generation (2016-2019) Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon, Let’s go Pikachu and Eevee – Alola and Kanto region
  • 8th Generation (2019-present) Sword, Shield, Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, and Legends: Arceus – Galar region
The 8th generation indicates the continuous release of the main series of games which is greatly contributing to its popularity. The Sword and Shield are the most recent Pokémon release among others. An 8th generation game, Legends: Arceus is expected to go beyond the Pokémon traditional formula during this season. In it, you will be able to explore the ancient Sinnoh as you play this very new game, even though, little is still known about it. 4 Top Most Popular Pokémon’s Trading CardsAccording to eBay: a multinational e-commerce website, these four Pokémon trading cards took the lead in the previous year. A Connection Between Pokémon Go and The Study

Surely you have often heard or read the opinion that if you often play video games, it can make you "dumb". A similar phrase can often be heard from parents who have not fully figured out whether such games can be useful, or from teachers who sometimes try to attribute their mistakes in the learning process to the fact that the child probably plays a lot and is constantly on the phone, and that is why he does not understand the subject or gets bad grades. Also, quite often,we come across studies that video games can make children aggressive, cruel, or violent. But at the same time, it is also important to understand that any issue, especially such a controversial one as games, can have several points of view. In this article, using the example of one of the most popular games among both children and adults, Pokemon Go, we will consider the possible positive effects of video games.

Pokemon Go is educational

Apart from ordinary people and animals, the Pokemon universe is full of magical creatures that are smart, can develop, and have a lot of extraordinary abilities. For example, there is a little turtle that can turn into a huge tank with water cannons. And the great thing about this game is that the players themselves are Pokemons’ couches.
